The Nursing and Midwifery Council regulates nurses and midwives in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland setting standards of education, training, conduct and performance so that nurses and midwives can deliver high quality healthcare throughout their careers.

About the role
We recently published our new standards framework for education and training. So this is an exciting time to join the team as we shape nursing, nursing associate (NA) and midwifery education for the future. Particularly as the NA role is a new addition to the profession and, also working with new and existing education institutions.
The primary purpose of the role is to ensure the proportionate and efficient approval of over 900 nursing, midwifery and nursing associate programmes in line with our Quality Assurance (QA) Framework 2018, our new and robust standard operating procedures and quality and performance indicators.
You will also play a key role in our other QA activity such as progressing with our monitoring actions. This will enable the NMC to fulfil our statutory obligation to protect the public and maintain public confidence in the regulated system and deliver high standards of customer care.
Skills and experience required
- Experience of using customer relationship management systems as we migrate to using Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Highly developed ability to pay close attention to detail so that the outcomes of the work produced is reliable and accurate
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Experience of establishing and maintaining relationships with a wide range of people, both internal colleagues and external stakeholders
- Ability to plan, prioritise, multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
