This an exciting opportunity join our Strategic Planning and Analytics team and make a significant contribution to improving the value the University gains from its data. Our Strategic Planning and Analytics Office is a key strategic planning function, delivering a range of exceptional business information services including the provision of business insight and analysis, strategic forecasting and statutory reporting, to support the delivery of the group wide Corporate Plan.

Leading on the delivery of Data Futures, you will play a central role in delivering change to the way in which we collect, maintain and report student and curriculum data responding to the sector-wide transformation of statutory data collection and processing infrastructure.

You will work closely with colleagues within the wider Strategic Planning and Analytics Office and across the Coventry University Group to deliver change, and will be required to liaise closely with regulatory bodies and sector networks.  The role will require extensive review of processes and IT solutions to ensure we are reporting quality data in a timely fashion to adhere to the new deadlines imposed by HESA.

Educated to degree level or with equivalent relevant experience, you will have experience of strategic reporting within a regulatory framework. You will be familiar with data governance frameworks and have a comprehensive understanding of the changing data landscape, knowledge of the HE policy environment and excellent communication skills. You will have demonstrable experience of making your insight count.

In addition to you be highly numerate with an eye for detail and experienced in the use of databases and reporting tools, such as Business Objects and Tableau.

You will have experience of managing cross functional projects and will demonstrate proven project management skills. The ability to evaluate situations, identify problems and confidently implement innovative solutions to problems will be critical.
