Sheffield Students’ Union is looking for an excellent communicator with strong media handling, relationship building, and external communication skills. We care deeply about enhancing the lives of students at Sheffield University and upholding our values. You will play a key role in communicating this work to our members and stakeholders.

Working with staff at all levels, the successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and delivering engaging strategic communication for our organisation. You will be the first point of contact for our elected SU Officers, colleagues, and the press on strategic communications. You will be as adept at producing quality reactive communications, as planning effective strategic communication to inform and inspire our audiences.

You will excel at all forms of writing; from producing compelling impact reports to creating emotive fundraising copy. Highly organised, you will need to be able to deliver at pace, work independently, effectively and proactively.
