Our teaching and research are supported and enabled by our Professional Services teams. We have recently redesigned our Professional Services, focused on improving the student experience and delivering excellent support to our academic colleagues.

We are now seeking to appoint our Academic Registrar who will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the Registry. The Registry comprises the Student Records, Fees and Scholarships, Doctoral School, Examinations and Assessments, Quality Assurance, Visa Compliance and Timetabling teams. Reporting to the Director of Student and Academic Services and part of the Directorate leadership team, the Academic Registrar will work across the SOAS community, overseeing academic quality and standards, ensuring compliance with external requirements and managing student records. We are seeking to appoint an Academic Registrar who will be an enabler of change and a guardian of standards as SOAS continues to develop its portfolio and grow its student community, both domestically and internationally.

You will be an outstanding leader, capable of creating and developing teams to deliver a challenging and evolving set of priorities. With previous experience of managing a relevant portfolio of services, you will bring expertise in student administration, particularly in terms of student record systems, regulations, compliance and quality assurance. You will bring a creative and innovative approach to service delivery along with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders internally and externally. Our new Academic Registrar will also embody our values, supporting diversity and inclusion and developing an open and supportive working culture.
