An exciting maternity cover opportunity has arisen within the Development Office at the University of Kent. If you are experienced in the prospect research/development and managing a network of supporters, this could be your chance to join our dynamic, innovative and friendly team.
The Senior Prospect Research & Management Officer will have substantial experience in fundraising research coupled with and a track record of dealing with high value prospect development and outstanding communication skills. The role will see you utilising your expertise to identify potential sources of philanthropic income and taking responsibility for the prospect management system.
As Senior Prospect Research & Management Officer you will:
- Identify potential donors to the University including companies, charitable trusts, lottery boards and individuals
- Enter results of your research into the database to optimise fundraising potential, including prospect screening and data-mining activities
- Develop, lead and manage the process of due diligence checks on potential major donors
To succeed in this role you will have:
- Substantial experience in a fundraising research or information gathering/dissemination role
- Experience in high-value prospect development, including database mining and predicative modelling
- Advanced knowledge of Raisers Edge, including Query and Export functionality
- Meticulous attention to detail, with highly developed analytical skills and experience of report writing
The role is full-time for a fixed term of 12 months.
