We are looking for a member of our Student Experience team to help us develop policy relating to aspects of the student experience, and help us undertake our regulatory role in relation to the quality of higher education at providers in Wales. Areas of work covered by the team include academic standards, learning and teaching, and student information.
We are looking for an individual with great communication skills who can work in partnership with others and act with integrity, to help us deliver the objectives of our Corporate Strategy, respond to Welsh Government policy steers, and ensure that students have a high-quality academic experience. The role is wide-ranging and will allow you to demonstrate your analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as your understanding of issues which impact on the student academic experience.
Experience of the development and delivery of policy and processes is essential. This would preferably be in quality assurance and/or student experience, and ideally from within a higher education or public sector environment.
You will lead the development, implementation and review of policy in areas such as the national student survey, student partnership and implementation of HEFCW’s responsibilities regarding quality assessment. You will also support key committees, including writing papers, undertaking projects and taking minutes, and support our review of teaching funding.
You will maintain effective working relationships with external partners and stakeholders. The role will focus on the student interest but will not involve direct contact with individual students.
The ability to communicate bilingually in Welsh and English is desirable.
