Our mission at YUSU is simple – we provide representation, opportunities and run services for all 20,000+ students at the University of York.
YUSU (University of York Student’s Union) is looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to lead our student voice staff team; strengthening our student voice work by working in partnership with students to address barriers to participation, enhance education and create change. Your work will support the continued development of YUSU’s academic representation, membership policy, engagement and democracy; empowering students to shape both their Students’ Union and their academic experience more widely.
You’ll help equip York’s student leaders to effectively represent students at all levels of decision making. You will build on and develop innovative partnerships that help YUSU practice and promote co-production with students. And you’ll help YUSU to develop and deliver a research programme that allows the organisation to fully understand our student members, harnessing insights and utilising these to influence policy and practice.
We are looking for someone ready to work within a team in a fast-paced, student-led environment. You’ll need to be self-motivated, flexible and able to balance competing priorities. The role is diverse, challenges are multi-faceted and require a deeply collaborative, innovative and thoughtful approach.
