Teaching Quality Assurance and Enhancement/Quality and Standards

This full-time post is available on a permanent basis from April 2022. This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – working from home and on campus.

Summary of the role

The number and complexity of academic partnerships is expanding rapidly at the University of Exeter in line with its strategic ambitions. This post provides support for the University of Exeter’s academic partnerships with other institutions or organisations for the purposes of providing teaching, learning, supervision, support and/or facilities for students as a formal element of a degree or programme. Academic partnership activity includes (but is not limited to): Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs); progression agreements; articulation agreements; split-site programmes; validation arrangements; double or dual degrees; and joint degrees.

You will be responsible for providing expertise and guidance to individuals and teams at the University looking to develop an academic partnership. You will help to guide the partnership through all phases, from development through to approval, implementation/operation and review. In addition to this, you will assist with the development and management of more complex partnerships, normally through the establishment of Partnership Boards.

This role is responsible for maintaining the policy and procedures that assure the University of Exeter of the quality and standard of academic partnerships, including their appraisal, governance arrangements and risk management. You will have responsibility for working with internal stakeholders, including academic and professional services staff, and external stakeholders at partner institutions or organisations. You will work closely with colleagues in Quality and Standards, Legal Services, Programme Development, Global Partnerships and the Doctoral College.

Please ensure you read the Job Description and Person Specification for full details of this role.
