Grade 8b SCP 40 to 43, £46,042 to £50,296 per annum (subject to confirmation through HERA)

The Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) is pleased to invite applications for the post of Head of Engineering, Compliance and Infrastructure. The successful candidate will join the dedicated and pro-active Operations team who strive to provide the best quality of environment possible to support the activities within Manchester’s world-renowned music conservatoire and its performance venues.

 

The Head of Engineering, Compliance and Infrastructure will be an engineering professional who has an excellent and proven track record in the planning, maintenance and management of engineering systems across a diverse and specialist estate, paying specific attention to safety and compliance.

 

You will possess extensive experience of working in similar specialist environments, be highly effective in planning, be an excellent communicator and have a broad knowledge of the subject areas i.e. CAFM systems, engineering, Health & Safety, CDM etc.

 

The job requires the post holder to possess:

·         A degree or higher degree in Engineering (or an equivalent professional qualification).

·         Senior membership of a recognised professional membership engineering body e.g. IMechE, CIBSE, ASHRAE, IEE.

·         A relevant Health and Safety qualification e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate.

·         British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) P405 – Management of Asbestos in Buildings

·         British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) P600 – Methods for Testing the Performance of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems

·         British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) P901 – Management and Control of Building Hot and Cold Water Services P901

·         City & Guilds accredited Authorised Person Mechanical and Pressure Systems (APMPS) or equivalent
