Do you want to play a pivotal role in the next phase of Middlesex University’s development and its ambition to enhance its reputation across global media?
We’re looking for a PR Officer to join our supportive and friendly team. Everyday is different and you could be working on media stories about virtual hospitals, research about online safety for children, partnerships with high profile charities about suicide prevention or amazing student and academic success stories.
About You: You will be an excellent communicator, with the skills to write and pitch great features and news stories; manage media requests and interviews and work alongside colleagues to build our social media presence. You will have:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to tailor writing to different audiences and media

• Experience of seeing the bigger picture and embedding PR within a wider strategy
• Trusted and sound judgement – able to build strong relationships at all levels within an organisation
• Ability to prioritise tasks, work quickly and accurately to tight deadlines
• Substantial experience in journalism, PR or media relations
• Agility to work independently and as part of team, often working in different locations
• Experience of using social media as an integral part of PR
