Main purpose of the role
The postholder will gain experience delivering a major policy project – NCUB’s 2024 Taskforce – including close engagement with senior stakeholders from academia and industry. This role would suit someone looking to build their profile in the sector and their understanding of university-business collaboration to drive economic growth. The role requires strong organisational skills, a facility for analysis and the ability to make connections across different sectors and levels of seniority. This role is available as a secondment.

Responsibilities
• Lead the operational delivery of NCUB’s 2024 Taskforce.
• Support the delivery of engagement and communications activities to promote the 2024 Taskforce.
• Support the management of any external commissioning undertaken to deliver the 2024 Taskforce.
• Support the production of any analytical outputs undertaken to deliver the 2024 Taskforce including the final Taskforce report.
• Work effectively with colleagues, including task management responsibilities within projects. Make a positive and proactive contribution to the culture and ethos in the organisation by leading by example.
• To undertake any other duties commensurate with the role. Essential skills and experience
• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Organisational and project management experience.
• Strong analytical skills developed in either an academic or professional context.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex issues in an accessible way.
• Ability to develop strong working relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable skills and experience
• Experience of policy development and implementation in areas related to research and innovation, including university-business interaction.
