After flirting with the real world and in the dim and distant past also being an actual researcher, Simon became a research manager and administrator over 20 years ago and has never looked back. He holds a doctorate in research management and administration and is the past chair of ARMA, the UK’s professional association of research managers and administrators. Simon currently holds a position on the board of CASRAI, the international Consortia Advancing Standards in Research Administration Information and sits on various UK groups in the intersections between research management, information systems management, and library management.
