HESPA 2015 Annual Conference
Maintaining strategic direction amid policy turbulence and global competition
Wonkhe is proud to be the Principal Media Partner for the HESPA 2015 Annual Conference, which provides an excellent opportunity for planners at any stage in their career to analyse and explore the changing HE landscape, address some of the challenges around new HE policy and look at ways to deal with increased global competition. At HESPA 14 you said you wanted more places – so we have doubled capacity to around 170 delegates. In addition we will have a number of key colleagues from HESA, funding councils and other agencies attending to allow for plenty of opportunity to get your views across about policy, funding, regulation, metrics and more.
The conference includes plenary and panel sessions from prominent speakers, including Sir Ian Diamond, Nick Hillman from HEPI, Mark Leach from Wonkhe, Theresa Bauer (HE Minister from Germany), Gordon MacKenzie from BIS, Huw Morris from Welsh Government … and there will be a choice of six workshops taking place on each day offering seminars on current topics such as Making HE Policy, Open Data, Risk Management, SLC data accessibility and DevoMax. Dinner and drinks will take place on Thursday evening, with ample opportunity to network throughout the conference. You will also get time to talk to suppliers of BI/planning systems in our exhibitors’ area.
The cost is £350 per delegate including dinner and overnight accommodation in the well-appointed Burleigh Court Conference Centre, Loughborough University (spa and gym available).
We hope to maintain capacity for up to two members of staff per HESPA member institution to attend and bookings are made via Eventbrite, with an opportunity to book more places once we have an idea of initial take up. For more information please contact Jennifer Summerton. Full programme details will be provided nearer the time.
