Alice Dee is senior impact manager at The Access Project, an innovative education charity that helps students from disadvantaged backgrounds access top universities through a unique programme of personalised tuition and in-school mentoring. Tutors work with students for an hour a week to raise grades and mentors support them with revision skills, the university application process, interviews, results day and the transition to university. Students with The Access Project are four times as likely as similar peers to attend a top third university.
