Jonathan Adams is Director of ISI, a part of Clarivate Analytics, and a visiting professor at the Policy Institute at King’s University London. He was previously Chief Scientist at Digital Science from 2013 to March 2018. He was the lead founder of Evidence Ltd, and then Director of Research Evaluation for Thomson Reuters until March 2013. In 2006, he chaired the Monitoring Group of the European Research Fund for Coal & Steel; in 2008, led the New Zealand Government’s 2008 review of research evaluation; and in 2016 was a member of the Australian Research Council’s working group on research impact evaluation.
Jonathan has published widely in research journals and scholarly books, including a chapter on the future of research in New Landscapes and Languages of Higher Education, published by Oxford University Press (May 2017). He was awarded an Honorary DSc by the University of Exeter in 2017, for his work in higher education and research policy.
