Karen Holford is chief executive and vice chancellor at Cranfield University. Her career spans industry and academia; from undergraduate engineer at Rolls-Royce (Aero), working in industry for several years before returning to academia, serving as Head of School of Engineering, pro vice chancellor College of Physical Sciences and Engineering, and deputy vice chancellor at Cardiff University. Karen is chair of the Midlands Innovation University Partnership Board, a member of the NPL Science and Technology Advisory Council, the Oxford-Cambridge Supercluster Board and Arc Universities Group Board. She is a trustee at Universities UK Board and an independent NED at Renishaw plc.
