Paul Kirby is Lecturer in International Security at the University of Sussex and incoming Research Fellow at the LSE Centre for Women, Peace and Security. His academic research concerns gender violence and the politics of war. He is a former Editor of Millennium: Journal of International Studies and the European Journal of International Relations. Paul has written critically elsewhere on metrics, pay-to-say open access, the contemporary journal system, and the digital commons. He is also the author of a short guide to ‘Open Access in the Social Sciences’, and tweets as @ProfPCK.
