Robin Hambleton is emeritus professor of city leadership at the University of the West of England, Bristol and Director of Urban Answers. He worked in local government in England for ten years before becoming an academic. He has been an adviser to UK local government ministers, to select committees of the UK Parliament, and has worked on place-based leadership with cities in many different countries. His latest book is Leading the Inclusive City: place-based innovation for a bounded planet (Policy Press 2015).
