Professor Sally Brown is an Independent Consultant in Learning, Teaching and (particularly) Assessment, and Emerita Professor at Leeds Beckett University where she was, until July 2010, Pro Vice Chancellor (Academic). She has an extensive publications record, largely on assessment, and undertakes UK and international consultancy in this area. She is also Visiting Professor at the Universities of Plymouth, South Wales, Edge Hill and Liverpool John Moores. She was formerly a Visiting professor at James Cook University, the University of Central Queensland and the University of the Sunshine Coast in Australia. She holds Honorary Doctorates from Plymouth University, Kingston University, Bournemouth University and Edinburgh Napier University. She is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, is a Staff and Educational Development Association (SEDA) Senior Fellow and a UK National Teaching Fellow.
