Will Awad was Editorial Assistant at Wonkhe. Joining the team from the University of Bristol, Will worked in the student recruitment team coordinating Ambassadors for widening participation, recruitment and admissions events. Having spent seven years in the higher education sector working in various roles and studying history both as an undergraduate and postgraduate researcher, he has developed a passion to better understand the intersection of personal and national identity with notions of class, gender and race, and to see more inclusive practices in the HE sector.
Both during and away from work, Will lives in headphones. A lover of music – and coffee – there will always be something playing in his ears from heavy metal through to classical concertos. He has a strong desire to see less stigmatisation of mental health in society, and loves a good philosophical and theological discussion.
